Christian concern for the planet is a given. Genesis has been misinterpreted by many people who use it as a reason for exploiting the earth’s resources. Genesis 2, in the original Hebrew, actually uses the words for till and keep, words for embellishment and adornment. We are to look after the earth. Anyway, why would God make such a beautiful planet for us and then say “ok now I want you to go and wreck the place”?
